Something for the DIY bride and groom… I found this great tutorial for a little box that you could use for your bomboniere’s. The instructions can be found on Sharing Creativity and Company blog page.
Your invitations and stationery set the tone for your wedding and let your guests know what’s to come. You don’t have to compromise on your wedding stationery just because your budget is limited. We offer a “Print Your Own Wedding Invites” service for the DIY bride and groom. You can choose a template or have something custom designed to suit your wedding style, theme and colours. For an extra cost we can put individual guests names on each invite and send you the individual digital pdf files.
Have fun choosing your own special paper and/or card stock or we can order it for you… check out our paper selection page and if you see something you like let us know and we can give you a quote on your selection. When choosing your cardstock don’t forget to order your matching envelopes and some extra paper and/or card for slip-ups or for any guests you accidentally leave off the original list!
Once you have your digital pdf wedding/engagement invite file you can print it as many times as you like. If you are printing at home ensure the card stock is compatible with your home printer and that it’s not too thick to go through the rollers. Ink jet printers are best to use as they feed card from the top. Or if you’d prefer your invites professionally printed take the file to a digital printer like Officeworks or Snap Printing.
Your invite digital file is provided with a 3mm bleed and crop marks to make it easier for you to cut your invites to size. Use a craft trimmer or guillotine to get straight and clean cuts. If you want to print your invites onto paper and then glue onto a mat card let us know and we will ensure the invite insert is the correct size with bleed and crop marks. See our Handcrafted Mat Invitations – Naomi, Grace, Chloe and Harper invitations that have been created with mat cards.
By adding embellishments to your invites they become more personalised. Try adding ribbon, diamantes, rhinestones, buckles, etc to dress up your invites or add a paper or hessian belly band and tie with string or twine to add more pizzazz. You can find great 12×12″ prints for your Belly Bands at your nearest scrapbooking store (eg: Kaisercraft). They are usually cut to 5cm wide each and you will get approx 6 from a sheet of 12×12″ paper.
You are only limited to your imagination! Be creative and most of all have fun putting your Print Your Own Wedding/Engagement Invites together. However if the whole DIY process becomes too daunting we can take the stress away… contact us for an obligation free quote.
